St. Louis Wedding Venues That Are Hidden Gems

As a St Louis wedding photographer for over a decade, I get the privilege of seeing some of the most beautiful venues in the region up close. I have often heard from my brides that it can be difficult finding a venue that was not a rustic barn or a plantation with questionable history and this leads to frustration when looking for the perfect wedding venue! In a recent Tik Tok Video , I shared some venues that I believe are hidden gems in the greater St. Louis area — especially from a wedding photography perspective.

Chandler Hill Winery is a dream for couples who want vineyard views! The rolling hills, golden sunset ceremonies, and expansive outdoor space create some of the most romantic St. Louis wedding photos! About 42 minutes from downtown STL you cannot beat the scenic drive down historic HWY 94 to this venue. I love how dynamic this venue feels — it offers an old word feel with the crawling vines, double door balconies in the most beautiful getting ready rooms for both the bride and groom, and a barrel room for fun indoor shots!

2. Piazza Messina - Cottleville, Mo https://piazzamessina.com/ If you are looking for a European vibe right here in the MIdwest, prepare to step into "Little Italy" with this stunning architecture and immaculate grounds! I absolutely adore this venue and it's always a pleasure shooting weddings there! Some key features, an entire house on site dedicated to the bridal suite, the beautiful bridge on ground, and the guest capacity of 300!

3. Hotel St. Louis - Downtown https://www.hotelsaintlouis.com Hotel St. Louis boasts a historic art deco style perfectly mixed with modern rooftop vibes! You get incredible views of the St. Louis Skyline from their rooftop high end bar/ceremony space. The windows actually open up on nice days and you can feel the breeze on your face while dancing the night away under the stars!

4. Main St. Abbey - Columbia, Il https://mainstreetabbey.com What if you want the grandeur of a chapel but you're not religious? Check out this jaw-dropping venue just a short 15 minutes from downtown Saint Louis. Every wedding I photograph here screams luxury and old money!
