Jamie + Bryan | Hawken House | Chic Garden Wedding

Jamie + Bryan woke up to rain on the day of their outdoor wedding in Webster Groves but the clouds parted just in the nick of time and we had ourselves an absolutely beautiful affair! I can't even begin to tell you how many times I cried during this day... emotions were high from the moment Jamie saw her two young sons in their suits before the ceremony, all the way to the heartfelt toasts given by the father's of the bride and groom near the end of the evening. The father of the groom summed it up nicely; "I heard it said that if you say the word, 'toothpaste' when you are about to cry that it keeps the facial muscles relaxed enough that you don't lose it. I'm going to be saying toothpaste a lot during my toast." By the end of the evening the entire reception room was shouting "toothpaste" and raising tearful, heartfelt glasses to the beautiful couple! So much love and preparation went into this wedding, Jamie never ceased to amaze me with all of the sweet DIY touches that she added...the sweet centerpieces, the smores box, the boutonnieres'... her hard-work payed off in such a big way! To the new Mr. & Mrs. Arntz, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these memories! Cheers to all of your happy years!
